"Teeheehee!" Saria giggled and batted Link playfully on the arm. "You're so silly!" They were sitting on a rather large stump, their bare feet dangling in the cool waters of Kokiri River. The chattering stream felt good against their ankles. Saria's hand felt good against Link's arm.

Today was the Annual Fairy Spirit Floating Festival of Fairy Spirits in the Forest For Floating in The Wood Sprite Spirits Fairy Festival, and all Kokiri children looked forward to the simple magic of this happy day. Kokiri Forest was alive with the glittering spirits of the woods. Like clouds of fireflies, they floated through the trees and cast multi-hued lights into the air. Link and Saria had managed to sneak away from the bustling celebration and find a quiet moment.

"What the fuck, Saria?!?!" An angry voice blew through the scintillating fairies and scattered them like oil on a hot griddle. A form emerged, a hulking wraith, into their serene quietude.

"Mido!!" yelled Saria in surprise, and then in annoyance: "What are you doing here?!"

"Fucking looking for you that's what. Where the fuck have you been you god damn fucking fuck fUFCKUF CU FOASS ASS FUCKING FHSIDHdhe-"

"Link and I were just taking a break! It's too loud in the square. Are we allowed to do that?!?"

But Mido did not answer, for he was busy preparing a bow and arrow to express his dislike of the situation he had stumbled onto. With a shaking arm that shook like the Shaking Worms of the Gerudo Desert, he aimed a Kokiri Arrow straight at Link's astonished face. "Any last words you fucking piece of shitty ass fucking FUCJJFKDJ FA ASS SFUFCKING SHIIT BITHTNCh--"

The forest had grown quiet, as though taut with the tension of Mido's confrontation, with the tension in his bowstring that desperately needed release.

Link reacted swiftly and without thinking. He shoved Saria aside and then dodged in the opposite direction as a deadly arrow twanged off the stump they had been sitting on mere moments ago. Saria squeaked in fear but Link did not, for he was already charging Mido with the speed of a god.

And so it came to pass in the Legend of the Forest, in the annals of the great Chronicles of Kokiri Tales, a small but important entry in the Great History of the Deku Tree's Realm, a tale of bravery and courage, a tale passed down to generation upon generation, shrouded in the deeps of time and the undying fables that sustain the myths of the world, the story of that.
