Link dodged a god damn fireball and rolled hard into the wall. He saw stars and blinked them away quickly. He knew a moment's hesitation was death on its feet. The demon, the creature, the nightmare - whatever it was - was still behind him. He had spent the last 3 weeks solving the puzzles in this horrendous temple and before he knew it he was in an arena with no way out. Paintings surrounded him. Paintings of gothic forests and castles. Moonlight streamed in from some sourceless light source and he could sense this would be a battle.

A BIG BATTLE. For indeed it was already starting. He pulled out his bow and arrows and let loose with several dozen un-aimed shots that ricocheted through the rafters and broke through the ceiling. Sunlight streamed through because the arrows were fire arrows and they set the whole ceiling on fire. The roof now was crumbling and some of the stronger beams were breaking apart. This temple had not been maintained in centuries. Saria the Sage of the Temple of Forest had not upheld her obligations as stated in the contract of Sages and the temple was in disarray.

"What?" screamed Link. "What's happening?"

"It's happening!" a voice came from the walls. It was Saria's voice. "I can see again!"

Link heard songs and music suddenly in the hallways and nothing was making any sense. "I didn't sign up for this," muttered he. He said this to himself. It was something he said often anytime something didn't go his way and this was one of those times. He knew this.
