Trengner awoke at the crack of dawn and rolled out of bed. The sun was already climbing up from behind the Whatever Mountains and he needed to get the stables up and ready and running and going and off into the daytime. Hateno Village didn't get those horses up by themselves! Nope, that was Trengenerne's job, and he loved it. Except he didn't. He hated it. That was his village secret. Every resident of Hateno Village had a village secret and this was his. Marleninia's for example was WHOOPS haha just kidding, that's a SECRET.
He poured a few eggs down his throat and ate his Hateno Stew, made by the Hateno Steward himself. Before long, the sun was up and so were the stables, cranking away and humming in their customary pleasant buzzing. It was a great sound but again, remember, Trengeemer hated it. It was his village secret.
"AH HOY THERE LAD YOU LAD OF THE LAND," shouted Trengner in the traditional greeting of Hateno. A man of indeterminate age was hiking up the path and entering the Village on the side that he was entering from. He was dressed in strange garb with a strange device dangling from his belt. Exhausted, he seemed. Everything about him was seemly. Lanky, long hair and dressed in scars of various ages, he was a man you do not screw with.
The guy just wandered past Trengener and entered some other house. Trennger didn't care. He hated Hateno Village and he just wanted to get out. Last night's blood moon had scared him to death. He figured nobody gets blood moons in other parts of the country. He'd even heard of some strange sky town in the northwest... Ritor Village or some such neat name as that. Tales from far and wide trickled down into boring old HATENO and Trenengner wanted nothing more than to get out and have an experience that would be a tale that would then itself trickle back into Hateno and everyone here would go "hey did you hear about Trnengnnger, yeah he fought off an entire Burmeran Encampment all by himself, remember when he came from Hateno Village which is the same place we live in now! Wow yep he came from here! We were pretty close friends I would say. Yeah I knew Trenngern, he was my old buddy from the older days when he was still my buddy here. I tell you we got into the craziest trouble!! One time he was about to whip out his old strunter but ol' Mammy Hepperdine came 'round the corner just at that moment and said 'TRNENGER Margumfin if that isn't you and if I don't know your very pappy himself! I'll be taking this straight to your pappy and he'll decide how to provision such punishments as he sees fit!!' Hooooo hohooh the antics we got into could fill a whole book and that's what I aim to do, for I been writin' a book of tales from straight out of the Hateno Village archives and I aim to put Trenngneter square smack dab square right squarely in the middle of the book itself!!"
That was the sort of thing Trengnger wanted. He wanted to live a life that was mysterious enough that people thought it was full of intrigue and adventure but actually was safe and secure. He didn't want to have any adventures or do anything but it was very important to Trengner that people thought cool things about him, and if people thought he did cool stuff that was the same thing if you really think about it.
