The Great Duality

Link dropped his shield and charged the flailing Bokoblins. Before they could react they were dead. Link had been practicing. He was an expert swordsman. Despite some rusty moves, he was getting the hang of fighting. He picked up the rupees the Bokoblins had left behind and stared into the horizon. Somewhere out there was the Great Duality.

He'd been thinking about this a lot lately. Villagers from Azuruem had one thing on their lips: the Great Duality. Impa had never told him about this. Was this important to his quest? Would it help him? Would it hurt him? Would he be affected? Finally Link mustered the guts to ask the villagers: "What is the Great Duality?"

"What do you mean?" asked a shy little girl whose pigtails flopped about in the way they did.

"I've been hearing a lot of people in this town talk about it," Link had answered.

"HEY," a voice off to his left had screamed. "GET AWAY FROM HER."

Link stepped back and backed away and turned tail and got THE FUCK out of AZureuem. It was not worth an angry mob. He would find the Great Duality on his own. The trouble was, no one else was talking about it. Even the superstitious village of Village Town had not heard of it. He had to conclude it was nothing, so he moved on.

He rummaged around in his inventory for a few snacks. It was getting late, the sun was setting, and he had to eat. Fortunately, he had some, so he ate them. As he sat on the ridge, staring into the red hot sun and burning his eyes forever, he thought about his quest. What was his quest? He had forgotten, for he was side-tracked again. His current plan was to build little rafts made of leaves and wood, then set them on fire as he pushed them off into the river and watch them sail away in small bundles of smoke. It was neat and he liked it.
